A message from the superintendent about FUFSD strategic planning

Dear Members of the Florida UFSD School Community,

We stand at a pivotal moment filled with enthusiasm as we contemplate the path forward, and we are reaching out to you for your valuable assistance. The District is beginning a strategic planning process to help guide our efforts for the next several years, and we need your input to make the best plans to move our district forward.

With your input, district leaders will develop a strategic plan that considers what is working, what we’d like to improve on, and how everyone in our school community feels about the work.  We would also like to know what you think we should be considering for the future of our school district.  Our strategic plan will be based on your feedback provided in the Thought Exchange.

In November, the Board of Education and leadership team will use your feedback for discussions and planning with about 40-50 volunteers from all groups in our school community.  If you are interested in participating in the stakeholder group and being involved in the strategic planning discussions, please contact Helen Arena at 845-651-3095, ext. 40011, or harena@floridaufsd.org with your letter/email of interest by Nov. 14.  You will be notified by Nov. 17 if you have been selected to participate.   The stakeholder group meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 20, from 6-10 p.m. at S.S. Seward Institute (refreshments provided).

We’re excited to look toward the future and build on our growth and continued improvement.  Thank you again for your support and partnership toward advancing the Florida Union Free School District.

Dr. Lisamarie Spindler
