This is a good time to be sure to review your plans for your child in the event of an early dismissal or even a half day. In the event of a half day, Seward’s dismissal is at 10:30am and Golden Hill’s dismissal is at 11:30am. You need to be sure your child fully understands these plans as well. If it is necessary to dismiss school early due to weather issues, this information would be communicated via our website, Facebook page, mass notification system which includes: text, email and recorded calls to your home. We always strive to give you as much advance notice as possible.
Our ongoing practice is to closely monitor several reputable weather forecasting outlets in advance of the anticipated weather. We also consult with and rely on the good, sound professional judgment of our bus company, local highway departments and local law enforcement agencies when assessing current and forecasted road conditions. Safety is always our first concern.
