Golden Hill Student Supply Lists 2023-24

Here’s everything your child will need on the first day of school. Please label all items and remember that some things may need to be replenished or replaced later in the year. Kindergarten

  • 1 box of 16 Crayola crayons
  • 6 glue sticks
  • 1 backpack or book-bag your child is able to  open and close easily (no wheels)
  • 2 folders with pockets on the bottom to carry papers to and from school
  • 1 plastic box to hold crayons and supplies (approximately 4 ½” X 8”)
  • 1 box of tissues to be shared throughout the year
  • 1 pair of Fiskar scissors
  • 1 marble composition notebook
  • 4 large, round beginner pencils
  • 1 box of baby wipes
  • 2 one-gallon Ziploc bags
  • 1 quart-size Ziploc bag
  • 1 4 ounce can of Play-Doh (any coller)
  • 1 pair of headphones for use in the classroom (no earbuds)

Grade 1

Please label everything with your child’s name

  • 2 boxes of crayons (24 max. per box/not jumbo)
  • 1 regular-sized clipboard
  • 1 personal whiteboard
  • 3 boxes of Ticonderoga pencils, sharpened
  • 1 marble composition notebook (Draw and write: Half lines and half drawing space)
  • 1 pair of child scissors
  • 1 large glue sticks
  • 1 blue plastic two-pocket folder
  • 1 red plastic two-pocket folder
  • 2 yellow highlighters
  • 2 black Expo dry erase markers
  • 1 container of Play-Doh
  • 1 set of headphones (not earbuds) in a Ziploc bag labeled with name
  • 2 pink erasers
  • Boys — 1 package of unscented baby wipes
  • Girls  — 1 box of Ziploc bags (any size)
  • To be sent in daily:
    • Healthy snack
    • Spoon or fork if needed

Grade 2

Please label everything with your child’s name

  • 3 packages of sharpened Ticonderoga pencils (24 to 30 count packages)
  • 6 large glue sticks
  • 1 box of 24 crayons
  • 1 marble composition notebook
  • 2 highlighters (different colors
  • 4 pack low-odor Expo  dry-erase markers
  • 1 basic ruler (inches/centimeters)
  • 1 package of cap erasers
  • 1 large pencil pouch/case (no plastic boxes
  • 1 sharpener
  • 1 black Sharpie
  • 1 green plastic folders with pockets on the bottom 
  • 1 package of unscented baby wipes
  • 2  one-gallon size Ziploc bags for spare supplies
  • 1 container of Play-Doug
  • 1 pair of child scissors
  • 1 personal whiteboard
  • 1 regular-size clipboard
  • 2 plastic folders with pockets on the bottom (blue and red)

Grade 3

  • 4 – 100-sheet marbled hard cover composition notebooks (No spiral notebooks)
  • 2 highlighters – different colors
  • 1 ruler
  • 4 large glue sticks*
  • scissors
  • dry erase board
  • 24-count box of crayons
  • 3 boxes of tissues*
  • 5 folders with pockets on the bottom
  • 24 No. 2 sharpened pencils with erasers* (Ticonderoga or Dixon work best and last longest)
  • 1 package colored pencils
  • 2 rubber erasers
  • 1 black sharpie
  • 1 LARGE cloth/nylon zippered pencil case (no plastic boxes)
  • 1 set of earphones in Ziploc bag labeled with student’s name (students tend to find traditional earphones more comfortable than earbuds)
  • 4 pack of black dry-erase markers (Expo brand works best and last longest)
  • 2 one-gallon size Ziploc bags (quart size is not big enough)

* These supplies go quickly, please ask your child to let you know when the supplies run low.

Grade 4

  • 3 marble composition notebook (no spiral)
  • 5 packages of pencils with erasers
  • colored pencils
  • 2 highlighters
  • scissors
  • 6-8 glue sticks
  • 1 ruler – to be left at home for measurement homework assignments
  • 1 protractor – to be left at home for measurement hw assignments
  • 5 folders with pockets
  • 1 cloth/vinyl pencil container (not a plastic box)
  • 1 black ½ inch 3 ring binder (for chorus)
  • 3 boxes of tissues
  • 1 unopened package of loose leaf paper
  • headphones/earbuds
  • Optional: reusable water bottle (no glass permitted in school, please make sure it has a sealed sip/straw lid that does not have to be removed for drinking (spills are frequent and disruptive).

Grade 5

  •  A five subject notebook with pockets
  • 1 1-inch binder for chorus
  • 1 1½ or 2 inch binder for math
  • Package of 3×3 Post-it notes
  • 2 package of loose leaf paper
  • 2 two-pocket folders — one for science and one for ELA
  • A package of blue or black pens
  • Colored pencils
  • 2 Packages of pencils and pencil sharpener
  •  Highlighters
  • Scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • A three ring pencil pouch that can be clipped into a binder
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 small package of multi-colored construction paper
  • A novel for the first day of school to read independently
  • 3 dry erase markers
  • Colored markers
  • Headphones in a Ziploc bag for the Chrome books
  • 2 Marble notebook
  • Reusable, plastic water bottle. (No metal bottles please)
  • Write your last name on everything.
