Varsity softball team, 11 individual Spartans, win NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete titles

The S.S. Seward Institute Athletics is proud to announce that the Varsity Softball team has received a Spring Scholar Athlete Team Award from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.

In addition, 11 individual Seward athletes have been named Spring Scholar Athletes by the NYSPHSAA. They are:

  • Ari Campos
  • Josely Medina
  • Katie Mulhare
  • Kaitlin Stolowski
  • Kailey Stolowski
  • Madison Dazi
  • Isa De Los Santos
  • Grant Gravelle
  • Chris Beattie
  • Andrew Mulhare

Each season, hundreds of schools submit  Scholar-Athlete information to the NYSPHSAA.

To receive the prestigious award, the team average GPA for 75 percent of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.0.

To be named a Scholar-Athlete individual, a student must earn an individual GPA of 90.0 or above regardless of their team earning Scholar-Athlete team status.
