The High School Student Council would like to create a permanent “Wall of Heroes” for Veterans Day at SS Seward. We welcome you to honor Seward alumni that have served or are presently on active duty. We are looking for you to send in a photo of the soldier in their service uniform. That photo will be scanned and returned as soon as possible. If you have an electronic version, please send it to KHannon@floridaufsd.org.
If you do not have an electronic version, either send it in with a student or mail it to Katherine Hannon, SS Seward Institute, PO Drawer 757, Florida, NY 10921-0757.
In addition, please include the following information: Soldier Name, Branch, Years Served, Military Occupation, and any additional information you wish to include.
Students will also be looking for flag sponsorships again this year to honor veterans in our community. We will place a small American Flag in front of our school in memory or in honor of someone serving or who has served our country. Flags are $10 to sponsor and all proceeds from the flag display will be donated to the local American Legion.
