Summer reading goes anywhere with free digital library, app

Florida Union Free School District students can read an endless array of books through a new digital summer reading program offered by the district.

MyOn, a digital literacy platform, offers free access to thousands and thousands of fiction and non-fiction books from a variety of grade levels, from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. Students can browse or search the myON digital library to find books that are just right and there’s no limit to how many books they can read. The site keeps track of how many books are read and how much time the student spends reading, so you can set and meet goals.

With the optional audio function, students can read along with a narrator. Text highlighting, an embedded dictionary and a zoom feature, further enhance the reading experience.

There’s even a free myOn mobile app.

To get started on a summer’s worth of great reading follow these steps:

  • Visit the myOn website and click the login button.
  • Enter the following:
School Name: Florida Union Free School District
    Username: fufsdstudent
    Password: read
  • Select a book and start reading!

With the offline reading app, students can read even when not connected to Wi-Fi. The myON app is available at app stores.
