S.S. Seward Good News

Finally we have had some warm days to allow us to enjoy being outside!  Our students were certainly ready to leave winter behind and they are excitedly looking forward to the end of another school year.  Spartans-keep working hard until the school year ends. Hard work works!
For several of our students, their hard work has recently paid off as they are recognized here in school and the community.
The Spartan Nation congratulates the Class of 2018 Valedictorian Liam Quattrociocchi. and the Salutatorian, John Shaughnessy.  You have both done so much to make Seward better each day. Thank you for always setting a fine example, caring for others and taking advantage of all the opportunities provided to you.  Continue to prosper as you take your next step in life.
Theresa Bailey a senior who was honored at the Humanities Awards breakfast in April, recently won the Congressional Art competition  sponsored by our United States Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney.  Theresa’s watercolor drew high praise from judges and was selected as the grand prize winning piece of art. Theresa was honored by Representative Maloney during the first week of May. As well, she will visit Washington, DC and her artwork will be on display in the U. S. Capitol for one year.
Congratulations to Theresa and her family, as well as her beloved art teacher, Mrs. Duquette.
So much to be proud of!  Later this month, please join us for concerts and arts shows, awards ceremonies, Seward Day and all of the other end of year events.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Your children –  our children –  are fantastic!
