Dear Spartan Families,
The NYS ELA/Math and Science Assessments are fast approaching. This year, we will be administering the state assessments during the normal school day during first through third periods. In our efforts to support students from an academic standpoint, these tests provide useful information that can help understand our performance as a school community.
We encourage your child’s participation in the required NYS assessments in grades 3 – 8 because the data retrieved about your child is helpful and is one of several measures that we utilize to determine the strengths and learning needs of our students. The data also assists us in evaluating our curriculum and prioritizing our existing resources and programs.
The 2022-2023 NYS 3-8 Assessments will be administered on the following dates:

If you would like to have your child refuse participation in the state assessments this year, please email us and let us know which assessments you do not want your child to participate in prior to the test date listed above.
