
Congratulations to S.S. Seward’s Valedictorian Holly Blumenberg and Salutatorian Athena Moustakas.
Holly is a member of the National Honor Society, band, and Youth and Government. She is very active in her church and has performed with the hand bell choir for seven years.
Holly is also a member of MAD (Make a Difference group), which performs various community service projects; has been in Girl Scouts since kindergarten where she earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards, and is an avid painter.
After graduation, Holly will attend Ramapo College of New Jersey where she will major in biochemistry. She then intends to continue her education in graduate school. Holly’s goal is to work as a laboratory scientist developing cures for unmet medical needs.
Athena is vice president of the student council, president of the S.S. Seward Chapter of the National Honor Society, and president of the Youth in Government club. She has held multiple class officer positions and has been a scholar-athlete for all four years of high school. She was varsity soccer captain for two years, and has completed over 160 hours of community service through volunteer work and completing her Girl Scout Silver and Gold awards.
Athena will attend the University of Delaware and plans to major in environmental engineering. She then intends to continue her education in graduate school.
