Golden Hill Elementary will celebrate Kindness Week after the Presidents’ Day closure, Feb. 18-21. The theme of kindness creates opportunities to integrate social emotional learning in daily activities and represents a positive, affirmative approach to character education.
Throughout the week, fun activities will engage students in acts of kindness, such as the writing of “thank you” notes for U.S. service personnel, and designing artwork to cheer local senior citizens and nursing homes.
Families may join in the spirit of kindness by contributing items to the Florida Food Pantry and NY Presbyterian Children’s Hospital.
