From the Seward principal: Welcome back! (and about all those forms…)

Dear fellow Spartans:

Here we go!  A school year of high hopes and great learning experiences grows closer and closer with each day.  Our first day for students is Sept. 6, 2018.

We have changed some of the back-to-school notices and forms in a manner that we think you will appreciate.  First, we have reduced the number of mailings and forms you will receive in the mail.  The following will be sent to you via email this year:

  • AIDS education
  • Military notice
  • Dress code
  • Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)
  • Board of Health

Please review each and contact us if you have any questions.

Most importantly, we have changed the emergency form (green form). This year, you will receive a print out of the emergency information in SchoolTool.  If nothing has changed from last year, you do not need to fill out the form.  (Yes, we can see you smile about this). Simply check the box on the SchoolTool page indicating that there are no changes and return it to us.

If you need to change information or update your emergency contacts, please do so on the green form and return to us.

We do need to have you complete the yellow health form, as current medical information is required.  You will receive the Code of Conduct and Acceptable Use Policy form. If we have your AUP already, you will not be asked to complete it again.  I hope these changes reduce the time spent completing forms for you.

We have so many student-centered experiences planned for the year.  Stay involved, make doing well in school a priority and partner with us to make your child’s dreams become reality!

See you soon, Spartan Nation!
