Our district is profoundly saddened by the loss of Rafael Muriel, a beloved member of our Florida family. Mr. Muriel provided security for our district for the past 16 years. He was a well-known and friendly face to many throughout the district, but especially at S.S. Seward Institute where he connected with our students, greeting all with his warmth and kindness. He was accepting of everyone and was known for his tough love and no-nonsense attitude.
Our deepest sympathies go to Mr. Muriel’s family and many friends for this tremendous loss.
